At ‘Higher Power’ a new Heavyweight Champion was crowned, and the crowd did not leave happy with the result… Following the emotional farewell of Noam Dar, and his subsequent vacating of the heavyweight title, a 4 man mini-tournament was held to crown the new champion…

In the qualifying matches, Iestyn Ress bested TNA Star Bram, and Joe Coffey bested Jack Jester, making the main event for the evening Rees vs Coffey for the vacant title.

Coffey suffered a back injury earlier in the evening however would not vacate his spot in the match and carried on valiantly, gaining control and looking set to end the year as champion… On the night though it was not to be, as a mistimed move clocked the referee, allowing Rees the opportunity to use the championship belt as a weapon, striking Coffey not once but twice to secure the win, and begin his second reign as PWE Heavyweight Champion…

For 2 years running, Rees leaves the year as Champion, and looks set to hold onto the title for a very long time.
